Born in Iowa, moved early on to Northern California where I grew up hiking all over especially in Yosemite National Park, fishing, skiing, enjoying the great outdoors and all the beauty of God’s creation. Went to the University of the Pacific for my undergraduate work, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology.  Continuing from under grad, for dental school I attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with a DDS degree. Also served as the Student Body President my senior year. After a short time working in the bay area, we returned to my hometown in Northern California (Modesto) to set up private practice, where I continued to work for over 20+ years.  Moved to Florida in 2007, where I have continued to work for the last 17 years before calling Ideal Dental Carrollwood home. I absolutely love the area and am excited to see what the future holds.  I truly love what I do and feel blessed to work with people to make them smile. Having a passion to give back to my patients by treating them with the upmost respect, kindness, and gentleness. My goal each day is to give patients great, long-lasting service in a relaxed atmosphere, hopefully changing any fears or anxious feelings about dentistry and being in a dental office. Every patient is special to me and I’m grateful to do what I do. Seeing a smile on my patients’ faces when they leave is so awesome and just makes my day.

Dr. Unmoal Rashid is a compassionate and detail-oriented general dentist dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality dental care. Born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia, Dr. Rashid developed a deep appreciation for community, connection, and service from an early age. As the daughter of a physician, she witnessed firsthand the meaningful impact that thoughtful, patient-centered healthcare can have on people’s lives — an experience that ultimately shaped her own path into dentistry.

Drawn to dentistry for its unique combination of science, artistry, and human connection, Dr. Rashid values the ability to work closely with patients while creating beautiful, functional results. Her passion for hands-on care and precision-driven treatment allows her to focus on both oral health and smile aesthetics, helping patients feel confident and comfortable in their smiles.
