As a new transplant to Houston Texas, Dr. Mcpherson is excited to call Ideal Dental at Katy Greenhouse her new home. While her roots stem from Brooklyn, New York and Atlanta Georgia, she now embraces Texas as her new home.
After completing undergrad studies at Guilford College in Greensboro North Carolina she went on to complete her graduate studies at Barry University in Miami, Florida. Dr. McPherson went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University In Boston, Massachusetts. Her journey has taken her up and down the East Coast, and she is now thrilled to bring her passion for dentistry to Texas.
For Dr. Mcpherson dentistry has always been about more than just teeth, it's about creating confidence, restoring comfort and building long lasting relationships with patients. Helping people smile brighter is what drew her to the profession and continues to inspire her every day.
When no caring for patients, Dr. McPherson can be found exploring new coffee shops, museums and restaurants ( so if you have any recommendation, please share!!), baking up sweet treats or enjoying a leisurely bike ride (emphasis on leisurely!). She also loves traveling to new cities and countries, always looking for her next adventure and source of inspiration.

Dr. Alia Chakaki, a board-certified periodontist with over 20 years of experience in restoring and maintaining oral health. She earned her dental degree from the University of Damascus in Syria in 2000 and completed her specialty training in periodontics at Case Western Reserve University in 2007.
Dr. Chakaki is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a recognition that reflects her expertise and commitment to the highest standards of care. She is highly skilled in treating gum disease, placing dental implants, and performing advanced periodontal procedures-all with a gentle and patient-centered approach.
